The SHC Contemporary mailbox below was delivered to us damaged. It is painted "frosted umber" which is a kind of taupe looking color. The only problem with it is a bent backplate that is missing some paint and showing signs that more paint will be peeling off...... but it's a back plate ! Once the mailbox is mounted on the wall with the lid in the closed position, all you can see is a perfect mailbox. This is a heavy cast aluminum mailbox leftover from a time goneby. It was a reproduction of a popular mailbox widely sold back in the 1960's. It has a white-gold paint job (meaning it was a white mailbox that got lightly highlighted with gold paint). It includes a satin cast brass flag.
We like this mailbox because it is a very sturdy casting, strong enough to withstand alot of abuse. It measures 7"w x 8"h x 19" deep.
We will include the matching aluminum post exactly as shown in the picture below. It has a stake that goes in the ground and the painted post fits over the stake. It was a wood mounting board to easily attach the mailbox.
